This Cookie Policy explains how Lumben uses cookies and similar technologies, such as browser storage, when you visit lumben.co and use the Lumben platform. We keep our own cookies to what the site needs to work. Some pages also contain content from third parties, which is described in section 3.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites function properly, remember preferences, and keep your session secure.
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser; persistent cookies stay on your device until they expire or you delete them. First-party cookies are set by Lumben; third-party cookies are set by another company whose content is shown on our pages.
We set the following cookies ourselves. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use third-party analytics or social media cookies.
Some pages load content from other companies. When that content loads, your browser connects to the provider, which receives your IP address and browser information and may set or read its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
Daily in practice. With the settings we use, Daily does not set cookies. During a call it may write these entries to your browser's local storage on our site:

Browser storage. Like cookies, your browser's local storage can hold small amounts of data on your device. We use it to remember your cookie choice, to keep your conversation with our chat assistant (a random visitor and conversation identifier, and whether the chat window is minimised), to keep an unsaved draft of your intake questionnaire on your device, and, in the dentist, clinic and other signed-in work areas, to remember layout preferences and unsaved drafts. This data is not sent to third parties; you can clear it in your browser settings.
Usage statistics without cookies. On our library articles and on the AI patient report, we record on our own servers which pages and buttons are used, without setting cookies and without third-party analytics. We use this only to improve the content.
Cookies and browser storage that are strictly necessary to provide the service you request, such as the session, security and notice cookies, do not require your consent under the EU ePrivacy rules as implemented in your country. The language cookie and the chat and draft storage only hold what you chose or entered.
For all other cookies and third-party content, we ask for your consent first. Our cookie notice offers “Accept” and “Reject” buttons that are equally easy to use. Until you choose “Accept”, we do not set non-essential cookies or load non-essential third-party content.
You can view, delete, or block cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling the session or CSRF cookies will prevent you from logging in or submitting forms. The language cookie can be safely deleted without affecting core functionality.
A cookie notice is shown on your first visit to this site. We store your choice in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of our website.
Blocking third-party cookies or site storage in your browser may stop content from other providers from working. Blocking reCAPTCHA prevents you from signing in, and blocking Daily prevents video consultations.
We may update this Cookie Policy if our cookie practices change. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
